BLANKET DAY

This annual event is sponsored by the Tallahassee Democrat, and their parking lot is the collection site.  Community members are asked to bring blankets to the site, which will be donated to organizations providing assistance to people in need.  Hundreds of blankets are usually collected, which help others stay warm during our winter months.  Participating in events like these give you the "feel good" aura. The second Saturday in December is the big collection day.
