Adult and Further Education

Rugby is home to a college which was originally named the East Warwickshire College, then became Rugby College in 1996 and is now a part of the Warwickshire College group. It occupied the site of the old Rugby High School on Clifton Road, with newer buildings on Lower Hillmorton Road. The Percival Guildhouse is an independent centre for adult education, set in the centre of Rugby near the Art Gallery and Museum.

Secondary Schools

Secondary schools in Rugby include the Lawrence Sheriff School for boys (which came top of the country in the 2009 GCSE League Tables) and Rugby High School for Girls, both of which are grammar schools. Perhaps the most renowned school is Rugby School, home of rugby football and the top co-educational boarding school in the country. There are also several comprehensive schools, including Ashlawn School (formerly Dunsmore School for Boys and Dunsmore School for Girls), Bilton High School (formerly Herbert Kay & Westlands School), Avon Valley School (formerly 'Newbold Grange'), Bishop Wulstan School (closed in 2007), and Harris C of E School.
