• "In 1876, Mr. Neveu established his D. Neveu Cabinet Factory which produced bedroom sets, side boards and chairs to be sold in all parts of Canada. This building afterwards became the property of Col. Benjamin B. Morrill who, in partnership with J. A. Tilton, continued the manufacturing of chairs along with manufacturing skis. The business continued under the name of the Rock Island Maunufacturing Company which merger with th Three Villages Building Association in 1913".

• Traite de J. A. Tilton de Stanstead “whose place of business is situated in Rock Island, is vice-president and general manager of the Three Village Building Association, Limited, which was established in 1895 under the name of J. A. Tilton”.
• En 1912, Tilton s’associe avec Col. B. B. Morrill, dans un commerce connu sous le nom de Rock Island Manufacturing Company. En 1913, la compagnie prend le nom de Three Village Building Association : "The firm deals in general lumber, housewood finish material, interior woodwork, door sash, shingles and roofing, as well as stocking driers, wood novelties, toys and other such articles".
