Description
Mercy Medical Center Redding is a 273-bed hospital offering comprehensive health services in the north state, providing acute care and a full range of special programs to a six-county region. Mercy Medical Center Redding is sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of Auburn, along with St. Elizabeth Community Hospital and Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta, and continues to represent the Sisters' commitment to a healthier Northern California. Mercy Medical Center is Redding's only childbirth facility, they are approved by California Children Services (CCS) in Pediatric and Neonatal care. As with most Catholic health institutions, they will not provide elective sterilization or abortion as these procedures run contrary to Catholic morality.
