Vernon Bruce Dent (February 16, 1895 – November 5, 1963) was a comedic actor who lived in Oakland in the 1910s. He's probably best remembered playing a variety of supporting roles for the 3 Stooges.

The 1910 census shows him living at the Hotel Holland, along with his widowed mother, Fay Mossman Dent, and his younger brother Melvin Dent. A 1912 article says he was a senior at Fremont High School, and was the lead in a production of "The New Leader". 1 Later directories list Vernon and Fay living at 939 - E14th. 1914 lists him as an entertainer with Todhunter and Gillette; 1915 lists him as a musician.

By the WWI draft in 1917, he was married, and living in Seal Beach, CA, working at the Jewel City Cafe as a musician.
