The Pay Less Drug Market Centre was a large drugstore and marketplace at 19th and Telegraph, opening in 1939. It included a grocery, lunch counter, and a MacFarlane's Candy shop. 1 The building took almost half the block, and much of the rest was set aside for free parking. By 1965, the 1901 Telegraph location had become a tire and automotive center for Capwell's. 2
