Oakland Auto Body, which first opened for business in 1957, has been located at 149 11th Street (at the southeast corner of 11th and Madison Streets) in Downtown Oakland since 1977. The building obviously predates 1977, and includes a large garage door on the 11th Street side that is no longer accessible to vehicles due to the construction of the 11th Street Tunnel under the Oakland Museum of California.
