Harbor House Ministries is a Christian non-profit based in the East Peralta neighborhood.
Their boffo building at 1811 - 11th Avenue was built in 1907 for Bert and Lillie Welch. It has subsequently been the San Antonio Boys Home and the Seventh Day Adventist Northern California Headquarters.
The ministry was started in 1972 by Olive Freeman, an Oakland school teacher and member of the First Covenant Church of Oakland.
