Great China Restaurant (or Ai Joong Wah) was at 723 Webster beginning in 1943. It was started and run by Gee Seow Hong and Gee Suey Ting, the parents of journalist William Wong, from 1943 to 1961. Wong worked there as a young man.
In 1961, it was purchased by Elise Chang. 1
