The Black Liberation Walking Tour is tour in the Hoover-Foster neighborhood, celebrating the area's multi-generational Black history and culture. It was the idea of neighborhood resident David Peters, whose family has deep roots in the area.

Peters created the tour along with Liam O'Donoghue of the East Bay Yesterday podcast, who did the interviews, and Gene Anderson, who did much of the historical research and route planning. A host of other people were involved in the planning and creation.

Tours are given both to private groups and to the public.

One of the stops on the tour is the Black Liberation mural, which was commissioned for the tour. It features some of the people and places on the tour, including St. Augustine's Church, C.L. Dellums, the Black Panther Party, and the California Hotel.
