The Ludington Guard Band was founded in 1888. Named after a cavalry unit, which in turn was named after  Harrison Ludington, then governor of Wisconsin. The band now performs a variety of concert band music including classical and new marches, overtures, and medleys from Broadway musicals and novelty selections. The music can be enjoyed an Tuesday night during the summer at Wilson Park.
