There are a number of arts groups and options for local entertainment around Menomonie. UW Stout has a strong tradition of art and design majors including studio art, entertainment design (animation, comics), graphic design, industrial design, interior design, etc. Around Menomonie and the UW Stout Campus there are many works of art on display. Statues, paintings, and everything in between allow the artistic side of the city to shine through. While driving through the rustic downtown streets, there are many painted utility boxes. There are also beautiful historic buildings contributed by the Tainter family: the Louis Smith Tainter House and the Mabel Tainter. You can check out the Mabel Tainter building by going to one of the various tour times at the location.
