The United States' Life Expectancy has been dropping slowly but noticeably for the past few years after increasing by approximately 10 years in about half of a century. This is confusing to some as the U.S. spends the most per capita in the healthcare industry out of every other country in the world. Furthermore, certain types of deaths have seen general increases, mainly drug overdoses which have risen nearly 400% overall between 1999 and 2017.
