At Temple University located in Philadelphia, PA, there were over 100 cases of mumps. The doctors believe that the disease spread as fast as it did due to the close quarters that all of the students were living in. Once there was an outbreak, the University held a free vaccination clinic, administering booster shots for the mumps to prevent other students from catching it. Mumps is spread through mucus and spit, and a lot of college students share things such as food, drinks, etc., explaining how the virus spread as fast as it did. https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2019/04/02/temple-sees-mumps-outbreak-more-100-cases
