Sogol has been playing Viola for over 14 years and received her BA in Viola Performance from UC Davis. Sogol has been principal violist of the UC Davis Symphony Orchestra for 5 years and has also served as a peer advisor in the music department. She enjoys her time playing in a quartet, playing and conducting in the Video Game Orchestra (which she co-founded), and performing at a variety of gigs all around the Davis and Sacramento areas. She has also appeared as guest principal violist of the Camelia Symphony and Mersonacta Quartet. She is also the recipient of UC Davis Outstanding Senior Award in Music for 2017-2018 and the UC Davis Music Department Excellence in Performance award. Sogol has studied under Josephine Liu Moerschel, Dana Griskevicius, and Ellen Ruth Rose. She has taught viola and violin lessons at Montgomery Elementary School and is currently a teaching assistant to Angelo Moreno, the Davis Senior High School orchestra director.
