Hai Hong is a Chinese restaurant and one of the few places in Ithaca that specializes in Cantonese cuisine (although they also serve famous Chinese dishes from other regions). They are often rated as the best Chinese food in Ithaca, and are considered to be slightly less Americanized than most of the other Chinese establishments. Hai Hong is also one of the few places to do dim sum (weekends and during the day time only).

2009-04-08 19:00:07   Finally I have found a Chinese Restaurant in Ithaca where the food is relatively well made. I had the spicy chili basil chicken and it was really good. I am not even a big fan of some of the vegetables that were in it, but the flavors were so intense that I liked it anyway (sweet, spicy, tart, and savory, yum). Also their hot and sour soup is way better than the other places I have gotten it in Ithaca. In fact, their hot and sour soup is better than some of the places that I would frequent in LA. I have to go back some time for their dim sum. —MattHh
