Origin

Rebecca Lancioni started as a singer-songwriter at local open mic nights around Grand Rapids at such bars as Billy's Lounge, The Radio Tavern, and Founders. She recruited Suzi Pyne of Joyride for random shows around the area, before they decided to put a full band together. They enlisted Melissa Herbert, formerly of Four Lincolns, and began the search for a drummer. Then-Go Josephine-member Derek Lancioni (formerly of Hunter Rose and Just For Kicks ) caught wind of this, and being a fan of bands like Sleater-Kinney and the Goxxip, jumped on board. They eventually parted ways with Melissa and adopted Suzi's husband, Jeremy Pyne, also of Joyride as well as Detlav, for bass. After a couple of releases, they hired Troy Reimink from Corcovado as a second guitar player.

The first release was a 7-song EP recorded in Derek's basement, with the vocals recorded in the Dining Room of Trevor Goldner ( Joyride, Chance Jones, Trophy ). Engineered by Trevor, it was a limited release of 35 copies.
The second release was a full 12-song CD entitled Panthera, recorded in Chicago at RaxxTraxx Studios by Rafael Ohli ( Charles The Osprey, Enso ) Track Listing:
