Koinonia—meaning "Fellowship" in Greek—was the first Project Neighborhood house. The property is owned by Calvin College. Koinonia seeks to be a place of hospitality to its neighbors, including the many Calvin students who live nearby.

Since Koinonia isn’t affiliated with a specific church, students engage in a variety of ministries. Recently these have included attending Friendship Ministries with some of our neighbors, tutoring refugees through PARA, and working with the Inner City Christian Federation.

8-9 students and the mentor family live in Koinonia.

At the corner of Lake Drive and Auburn, Koinonia is located in the heart of the Eastown neighborhood.
