Meningitis, which is not to be confused with gingivitis, is a potentially lethal infection of the meninges, a serries of membranes that covers the brain and spinal cord. This infection can be either bacterial or viral. The virus can easily be spred among populations in close contact (ie freshmen).
The Student Health and Wellness Center offers vaccinations to students for ~$45. Fees will be billed to your student account.
