The Ellen Hansen Memorial Prize is a monetary prize awarded annually to a UCD woman student whose original creative project best demonstrates the bravery and independence of women. The prize was started in 1986 to honor the memory of Ellen Hansen whose fight against the trailside killer allowed her companion to escape.
