- I.F. "Crip" Toomey, former football coach, is appointed university's first athletic director. Later, Toomey Field will be named after him.
- Campus is renamed to College of Agriculture at Davis, has four major programs: Animal Production, Plant Production, Dairy Industry, and Home Economics.
