John F. Baldwin Park - 18 acres located north of Bonifacio Street and east of Port Chicago Highway with an entrance at Beach Street. This busy park includes the Concord Senior Center, preschool classrooms, a childcare facility, dance studio, basketball court, softball field, 4 bocce courts, Baldwin Dog Park and a children's play area. There is one reservable group picnic/ barbecue area on a raised platform overlook, and several individual picnic tables with barbecues scattered throughout the park.
BART Linear Park - Port Chicago Highway between Salvio Street and the North Concord BART Station at Panoramic Way. This park provides a pleasant 2.5 mile landscaped path for walking, jogging or bicycling alongside the BART tracks and away from traffic.
BART Park - 5 acres under Bay Area Rapid Transit tracks between Mt. Diablo Street and Systron Drive. A meandering path, landscaped with trees, lawn and ground cover parallels Mesa Street and San Miguel Road.
Daniel E. Boatwright Youth Sports Complex - 9 acres on Campus Drive at Alberta Way adjacent to the Cal State University Contra Costa Campus. This park was designed for organized youth sports league play with 5 soccer fields and one baseball field.
Brazil Quarry Park - 4 acres end of Kent Way off Sutherland. This park includes an open, turfed play area, a natural creek, paved perimeter path and children's play equipment. An attractive feature of the park is a butterfly garden that was designed and built by students in an environmental education partnership between the Lindsay Wildlife Museum, the Mount Diablo School District and the City of Concord.
Cambridge Park - 10 acres on the east side of Victory Lane and adjacent to Cambridge Elementary School. There are picnic tables, shade trees, expansive turfed playfields for soccer and casual play and a children's play area.
Concord Community Park - 30 acres off north side of Cowell Road between Hale Drive and Sheridan Road next to El Monte School. Concord Community Pool is an Olympic size swimming pool, with diving facilities, wading pool, heated change rooms with showers and lockers. The pool underwent renovation in 2004 to upgrade the mechanical systems, replace the decks and refurbish the dressing rooms. Concord Community Pool is home to the nationally recognized Terrapin Swim Team and several major swim meets are hosted at the pool each year. Park facilities include seven unlighted tennis courts, handball/tennis practice wall, ball field and backstop, large open turf area, and a children's play area with a castle theme. There are two reservable group picnic/barbecue areas and many individual picnic tables with barbecues scattered throughout the park.
Concord Skate Park - at the corner of Cowell Road and San Miguel Road, near Monument Boulevard. This 14,000 square foot, state-of-the art facility was designed by skaters for skaters. The various elements offer challenges and tricks for all abilities. Skateboards, roller skates, in-line skates and manual scooters are welcome. Proper safety equipment is required at all times.

** The Skate Park is closed to the general public when instructional camps or clinics are in session, varying weekday hours during the summer. The Skate Park may also be closed for special events or at the discretion of Concord Police for rule violations.
Dave Brubeck Park - 8 acres on north side of Concord Boulevard between Mendocino Drive and Denkinger Road, next to Concord High School. Gently mounded turf with shade trees surrounds a large open meadow with a raised concrete stage. There are picnic tables and a children's play area. This park is home to community events including the annual Singing Flag and several classic car shows.
El Dorado Middle School Play Fields - Concord Boulevard at Mendocino. The City of Concord and the Mount Diablo Unified School District collaborated to renovate the fields at El Dorado Middle School and adjoining Westwood Elementary School. The renovated playfields include two full-size soccer fields, three baseball/softball fields, two sand volleyball courts, walking/jogging paths and a play area for children within ten acres.
Ellis Lake Park - 10 acres south of Clayton Road and east of Ellis Street. Rolling turf and a paved path around the lake, which is home to many species of waterfowl and several turtles. There are two children's play areas. The historic Keller House, located in the park, serves as an office for community service agencies.
Highlands Park - 9 acres next to Highlands School off north side of Pine Hollow Road between Pennsylvania Boulevard and Louisiana Drive. Rolling turfed terrain with variety of trees and meandering paths. Two creative play areas for children, ball fields and several picnic spots.
Hillcrest Community Park - Hillcrest Community Park - 26 acres at Grant Street and Olivera Road. Athletic fields for softball, baseball and soccer, a model airplane flying area, and Matteo's Dream: A Playground for Children of All Abilities. There are several picnic areas with one reservable group picnic/BBQ site.. A Korean War Memorial is located in front of the park next to the Matteo's Dream Playground. The historic Don Fernando Pacheco Adobe next to the park is leased by the Contra Costa Horseman's Association.
Iron Horse Park - .18 acre on Solano Way between Hilltop Road and Olivera Road. Amenities include a bocce court, benches, one picnic table with BBQ and access to the Iron Horse Regional trail.
Krueger Fields - 4 acres of turfed athletic fields located on Cowell road at Almar Court adjacent to the Loma Vista Adult Education Center.
Len Hester Park - 4 acres at corner of Hookston Road and Hampton Drive. Gently rolling terrain with lawn and trees suitable for children's play. A path winds through the park to several picnic areas.
Lime Ridge Open Space - 175 acres northwest of Treat Boulevard in area between San Miguel and Cowell Roads. Primary access from parking lot off Treat Boulevard. Improvements completed in 1993 include trails linked to a regional network, benches, view areas and a community building. Extensive plantings of native oaks, grasses and wildflowers will restore the natural oak/savanna grassland, increasing the diversity and abundance of wildlife.
The Greater Lime Ridge Open Space is now accessible to the public with a trailhead at 5108 Montecito Way. Over 1200 acres of pristine open space and 25 miles of trails are held jointly by the cities of Concord and Walnut Creek. The area is rich in history and supports a diversity of plants and wildlife in the chaparral, oak woodland and grassland habitats. Native American artifacts have been discovered in the fossil laden ridges and the area was the site of the historic quarries of the Cowell Lime and Cement Company. Markham Nature Park and Arboretum - 16 acres off northeast side of Cowell Road near Babel Lane and at south end of LaVista Avenue. Galindo Creek meanders through the park. Park amenities include a Nature Study Center used by Mt. Diablo School District and Concord's Backyard Explorers summer day camp, community garden plots and the Garden Center headquarters of the Markham Arboretum Society, whose members are working toward the creation of an international garden to showcase plants from around the world that can thrive in our local micro-climate. Meadow Homes Park - 12 acres at northwest corner of Sunshine Drive and Detroit Avenue, next to Meadow Homes School. The park offers a brand new spray park, featuring water play areas for tots, tweens and teens. Also located in the park are multi-use sports fields . There are two reservable group picnic/barbecue areas. One located inside the spray park and the other with a covered shade shelter.
Newhall Community Park - 126 acres along Galindo Creek east of Treat Boulevard. Access is via Newhall Parkway south of Clayton Road or from Turtle Creek Road. Galindo Creek meanders through the park. Approximately 30 acres of park is improved with ponds along the creek, a play structure, picnic areas, bocce courts, and turfed athletic fields. The "Paw Patch" is a secure, fenced area where dogs can exercise off-leash. There is one reservable group picnic area in a secluded creekside setting with large oak trees. Most of the park is undeveloped open space. Over two miles of multi-use trails, linked to the regional network, are available for walkers, hikers, joggers, bicyclists and horseback riders. From the top of the hill, one is rewarded with sweeping views from the Carquinez Straits to Mount Diablo. A Vietnam War Memorial graces the vista point.
Rick Seers Neighborhood Park - 3/4 acre, northeast side of Sierra Road between Fox Meadow and Fox Way. Neighborhood greenbelt with landscaped pathway. Amenities include a picnic area, play equipment and a half basketball court.
Sun Terrace Park - 2.6 acres at corner of Vancouver Way and Montreal Circle. Turfed area for free play and a children's play area with swings, slide and climbing apparatus.
Todos Santos Plaza - 2.5 downtown acres between Salvio Street, Willow Pass Road, Grant Street and Mt. Diablo Street. Dedicated to the people of Concord by town founder Don Salvio Pacheco more than 125 years ago. There is a turfed area with large trees, colorful flowers, picnic tables, benches and a small children's play area. A granite stage and fountain enhance the many community events held in this historic "town square." Music at Noon, Farmer's Market, California Symphony, KidFest, Chamber of Commerce Fall Fest and Fourth of July Parade are some of the annual events in downtown Concord. Willow Pass Community Park - 40 acres north of Willow Pass Road at Olivera Road and Salvio Street. A large community center is located near the center of the park. Nearby are four lighted and four unlighted tennis courts. Willow Pass hosts numerous softball tournaments and league play on six softball fields, four of which are lighted for evening play. A batting cage concession operates year round (www.paylessbattingcages.com). Pixieland, an amusement area at the north end of the park features child-sized rides including a scale model train that runs around the lake and through a tunnel. Pixieland has a birthday party area that can be reserved (www.Pixieland.com).
Ygnacio Valley Park - 9.5 acres at northeast corner of Oak Grove Road and David Avenue. This park has ball fields, jogging path, picnic and barbecue facilities (including one reservable group site), a popular children's play area and large expanse of turf for free play.
