Allston is a neighborhood of Boston named after painter/poet Washington Allston (1779-1843)1.  Allston and Brighton stick out like a swollen hitchhiker's thumb from the fist of the city.

According to a 2015 report by the BRA Research Division, 78% of the people who live there are young adults (which they qualify as between 18-24).
