Medici is a restaurant in Uptown Normal, near the ISU campus, known for its eclectic American fare. Its bar and dining area provide a very colorful, unique, and modern atmosphere, one unique aspect being the tree that towers towards the ceiling in the middle of the restaurant. With their diverse menu you are more than likely to find something for the whole family, or even out with a few friends. Prices on the menu do vary based on the selection. They also have a pretty big tree in there, along with roof top seating.

Medici offers several options from their Black and Blue Burger to any one of their homemade pizzas. Looking for something a little nicer? Not to worry they have you covered there as well. Offering several nicer dishes, such as the Prawns and Polenta, Grilled Mahi Mahi, or even there popular Cajun Coffee Ribeye. As you can see a little something for everyone. Medici makes all of their own bread that is provided at the beginning of the meal. Not only this, but they make all of the buns, pizza dough, and desserts in house as well. If nothing on the menu catches your attention make sure to check out the daily special, constructed by either the Executive chef or Sous chefs. Medici use to have a bakery next door but since has been closed down. If you really love their bread, don’t hesitate to ask to bring a loaf home. They are always selling loafs of bread through the bar if you are wanting to take some home. If you’re looking for a good place to host a private event consider Medici as an option as well. There banquet coordinator and staff are willing to go above and beyond to help you reach your expectations in service. Medici’s executive chef offers several different types of menu styles to make your party a success. Whether you want a buffet, pre-plated dinner, or even a selected menu, the staff at Medici is always looking to accommodate. Medici offers several prices for their rooms depending on the night. So if you are looking into have a more private event with some close friends, check out their small private dining room off the side that can accommodate up to 30 people for a sit down dinner. Looking for something a larger? Be sure to check out there upstairs area which includes a bar and overlooks the amazing tree in the middle of the restaurant. Aside from the wonderful atmosphere and delicious food Medici has to offer you are also looking at one of the best places to come and get a good microbrew or craft beer on tap. Medici has 32 tap handles always tapped. Twenty-four of which are downstairs while the remaining eight are upstairs. Medici’s vast selection in craft beer has something to offer for all types of beer drinkers. Whether you are new to the craft beer industry or you are a die-hard IPA fan. If you are into beer be sure to check out Medici’s “Wednesday Warrior” club, where you can come 10 Wednesdays out of a given year, get a beer, and receive a t-shirt stating your warrior status. A good time is had by all on Wednesday nights, the bartenders are sure to take the time to learn your name and make you feel as welcome as possible. Do not fret though, they carry domestic bottles for those who haven’t gotten into craft beer, or those who just don’t care for it. They also have other craft beers in bottles. Deciding on a beer can almost be tougher than deciding on what to eat. If you are struggling with what you might want, your bartender or sever can usually offer good advice or are more than willing to get you a sample before you buy. Enough about beer, if you aren’t a beer drinker Medici also has an extensive wine list as well as cocktails. Medici’s clever cocktail names never fail in getting people to smile, whether you order a “Safe Sex with Chuck”, “Stumbling Ann”, or even a “Swear Jar” you’re sure to find something you’ll like. Medici also has several Martini’s that are worth a try. Come in Monday’s for “Martini Monday” where Medici martinis are only 5 dollars!
