Description: Action for Children provides access to resources, community, advocacy -- and represents an alliance of individuals and groups dedicated to empowering and supporting parents, child care providers and family service programs. Services include child care referrals; help paying for child care; training and technical assistance for day-care providers; and advocating for quality early care and learning. Our Walk-In sites primarily assist parents and child care providers with applying for and trouble-shooting issues with the Child Care Assistance Program. Drop boxes at these locations are a convenient and secure way for parents and providers to submit their paperwork (applications, forms, etc.). Walk-in locations: SOUTH SIDE/CHATHAM 8741 S.
