Edgar J. "Ed" Lesher (July 31, 1914 - May 19, 1998) was a notable aircraft designer and pilot and a professor of aerospace engineering at the University of Michigan. Among his airplane designs was the Lesher Teal, a home built experimental aircraft that between 1968 and 1975 held seven international records in the 500 kilogram class for speed and distance.
