Dwight Lang is a lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Michigan and Emeritus Professor at Madonna University. He writes on various topics for the Detroit Free Press and The Ann Arbor News. He is a faculty adviser for First-Gens, a Department of Sociology sponsored undergraduate group for students who are first in their families to attend college at the University of Michigan. He moved to Ann Arbor in 1989 with his wife, son, and daughter.
