Shanghai Songjiang No. 2 Middle School, or Songjiang No. 2 Middle School for short, is one of the first batches of key middle schools in Shanghai. The school was founded in 1904 (the 30th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty). In the beginning, it was Songjiang Prefecture Middle School. It was once Songjiang Women's Middle School in Jiangsu Province. In 2004, the first batch of schools was named Shanghai Experimental Demonstration High School. Many people have become renowned experts and scholars at home and abroad, and established the status of "famous schools in ancient cities".
