\n\tViolet Whitney Kiteley\u00a0is the founder of Shiloh Church in Oakland in 1965, and later the\u00a0Shiloh Bible College. Kiteley was a devotee of\u00a0Aimee Semple McPherson, founder of the Foursquare Gospel church.
\n\n\tViolet Whitney married Raymond Valentine Kitely, and together they had one son, David Kitely, who is now a pastor emeritus of Shiloh. Raymond Kitely died in plane crash July 13, 1945 while serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force, just 3 months before David was born.
